Camphill Community Glencraig: Forest School Network Event.

Terri and Daniel Harrison of the nature Nurture project from Aberdeen in Scotland are giving a presentation and will lead a workshop to share with people the value of the natural environment and particularly woodlands.

On Saturday the 20th April 2013 the Camphill Community Glencraig will host a Forest School Network Event. The purpose of the event will be to share with people the value of the natural environment and particularly woodlands in the development of resilience for children, young people and adults. Terri and Daniel Harrison of the nature Nurture project from Aberdeen in Scotland have agreed to give a presentation and lead a workshop at this event. Nature Nurture is the first early intervention programme in the UK that tackles vulnerability and promotes resilience by combining free play and nurturing interactions in natural environments.

Other Forest School Leaders will be present to share their work, lead activities and be able to provide information about this approach.

The event will be divided up into three parts:

1. Presentation and conversations from 10.00 – 13.00 (indoors)

2. Lunch from 13.00 – 14.00 (indoors)

3. Forest School activity session 14.00 – 16.00 (outside)

Please bring suitable clothing for outside session in the afternoon.
