CHARITY ABSEIL DOWN SCRABO TOWER

MEMBERS OF BANGOR JU JITSU CLUB ABSEILED DOWN ALL 125FT OF SCRABO TOWER IN NEWTOWNARDS TO RAISE MONEY TO SUPPORT AIDS PROJECTS IN AFRICA.

Stephen Black, Paula Black, Patrick Devlin, Lynsey Spiers and Owen Spiers all completed this nerve wrecking event in conjunction with the Elim International Missions, Supporting Aids Projects in Africa. Windy conditions on top of Scrabo Hill prevailed and from time to time managed to put most participants into a spin but they continued neverless.

At the moment the total amount raised is approaching £800 with the final count yet to be completed.

This Project will benefit many people affected by HIV/Aids in countries such as Malawi, Zambia, Swaxiland, South Africa and Zimbabwe. In the past the project has built homes for Orphans, Clinics, hospitals and supported Orphans through schooling.
