CELEBRITY BEAUTIES MAKE CATWALK DEBUT

In aid of Aids 2000 a fashion show extravaganza was held at Apartment in Donegal Square

On Wednesday evening 13 November, BBC’s Presenters Denise Watson and Christine Bleakley and Downtown Radio’s Lisa Flavelle will make their catwalk debut in a fashion show extravaganza to support local charity, Aids 2000. There will also be a guest appearance by the Belfast Giants.

The show, compered by UTV’s Lynda Bryans, takes place at The Apartment Bar, Belfast at 7.30pm and will showcase the latest Autumn / Winter collection from top fashion retailer, Gooch.

Since October Gooch stores in Great Northern Mall and Ann’s Street, Belfast have been donating £1 per garment sold towards Aids 2000. This fundraiser will continue until the end of December, in support of World Aids Day on 1 December. Gooch hope to raise a generous amount of money towards this worthy cause.

BBC’s Denise Watson, who has recently been appointed secretary of Aids 2000 is excited, although admittedly a little nervous about ‘Strutting her Stuff’. She said

“The Gooch Fashion Show promises to be a very enjoyable evening and I encourage everyone to come out and see Christine, Lisa and I step out in style with top models from ACA. Guests will be treated to a pashmena, compliments of Gooch and Aveda products from Chi Lifestyle, who are also transforming our hair and makeup so we look like supermodels!”

Also supporting the show are DV8 and American Nails. Aids 2000 are also using this event to pre-promote their annual ‘Red Ribbon Ball’which takes place at the Stormont Hotel, Saturday 30 November.
