Cancer UK have posted a fundraising gallery following their tremendously successful "Touch of Pink" Gala Ball.

The event, hosted by Seamus McKee, and put togethery by Chairwoman Joanne Dean and a committee of Bangor Mums, raised £6500.00 on the night.

On Saturday 19 April 2008 at the Marine Court Hotel, Bangor the “Touch of Pink” gala ball was held in aid of Cancer Research UK.

This event was put together by Chairwoman Joanne Dean and her committee all drawn from Bangor Mums for Charity. It was a terrific night, attended by over 190 people and ably hosted by Seamus McKee M C for the night.

With fabulous food, an auction and raffle together with donations and sponsorship from such companies as Tesco's, Ulster Bank, Classic Wines, agendani, Floral Earth and Mailroom to name but a few, the night raised over £6,500 for the charity.

Wendy Williams, fundraiser for CRUK said “This was a very special night and our sincere thanks must go to Bangor Mums for Charity and especially their Chairwoman Joanne who put in a tremendous amount of hard work to make the evening the success it was. Thanks also to Seamus, all the sponsors and of course the Marine Court Hotel.

The money raised will be used to great effect by our doctors, researchers and cancer nurses to help people within the province who are surviving cancer. Thank you.”.
