LAUNCH OF RE-IMAGEING PROJECT FOR HOLYWOOD - POSITIVE STEPS TO INCLUSION ON BEHALF OF REDBURN LOUGHVIEW COMMUNITY FORUM.

The Launch Event was held at the Holywood Train station at the (Belfast side) kindly opened by Tom Kerr a local Holywood Artist. The project comprises of a mosaic and artwork depicting scenes from Holywood.

The Mosaic, art pieces and paintings were completed by community and youth groups in Holywood and the project was coordinated by artists Caroline Jeffrey and Glenn Larmour. Well over 100 young people took part in the project.

The project was officially unveiled by local artist Tom Kerr. . The locations for the further art pieces are at the Marino Train Station, Cultra Train Station including the Holywood Subway and you can see these using the image gallery below.

Positive Steps to Inclusion, on behalf of Redburn Loughview Community Forum, through their EU Peace III Programme, Managed by the special EU programme body and delivered by the North Down, Ards, & Down PEACE III Partnership.  The project has received a total of £12, 000 worth of assistance under the EU's PEACE III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body and delivered by the North Down, Ards and Down Council's Cluster.

Redburn Loughview Community would like to take this opportunity to thank all who participated and gave support in the completion of the Mosaic and artwork, Translink, the Community Development Team and all the volunteers who gave up their own time as without their input this could not have been achieved.
