Bangor, North Down, Northern Ireland

Welcome to Bangor GoesGlobal. Bangor GoesGlobal's latest build has been sponsored by Dunlop Homes who are using many of the tools.A former winner of the Bangor Business Awards for Innovation in IT the platform has been upgraded.

SUPPORTING MAPS / GRAPHICS / 'APP INTERFACES' :

Bangor Goes Global was the first of our communities to build an interactive place using original artwork by Gary Devon.

Please do not download these graphics and use them except to link to Global District applications by us or by members. Code for embedding these is available when you log in and is distributable according to the member's terms. See also our terms of use. In this way everyone can add value.

Developed initially using an artistic representation of Bangor Northern Ireland by Gary Devon in 1999/2000, and then later a streetmap representation by Ralph Dobson, everything is supported by maps so you can "go virtual".  Local and original artwork is supported by internet maps by Google - but you can use both to map your content. Collectively this can then be used to promote Bangor, supporting both animation and media.

Members can upload their own maps to create unique perspectives on Bangor - historic, artistic, 3D, creative - the tools are provided both for the mapping of content, and for map searches.
